"I am now a thriving teenager, getting ready to enter college. Although, my family and I have faced many challenges along the road, I always look back on my experiences with Craniosynstosis and how they have positively influenced my life. Due to my experiences in and out of hospitals and with doctors, I have been inspired to follow in their footsteps and contribute to the medical community through my future career. I want others to hear my story so that they have hope for their children who are just beginning to face the many obstacles that I have already overcome.
I hope you will be able to share this poem with others, so that their worries may be eased by my successful story.
Thank you,
Emillee Garlin"
