Sara Grace Young came into our lives on July 24, 2007. We noticed her head being misshapen when she was 3 1/2 months old at her well baby visit. I pointed it out to her pedi. and was told we would just watch it and see what happened. Two weeks later it had gotten worse and I took her back in on Dec. 11, 2007 and a CT scan was done to reveal her right lambdoid suture had fused. I was still told by her pedi and a neurologist he sent the CT scan to that we would just watch and see what happened. I took her to the UT Physicians in Houston, TX and met with her Neurosurgeon, Chief of Staff Dr. Stephen Fletcher and her Craniofacial Surgeon Dr. Teichgraeber on Jan. 3, 2008 and she had surgery on Jan. 18, 2008. The surgery lasted 4 hours and we were in PICU for the night and remained in the hospital for 3 more days. The surgery was a great success and we Thank God daily! Sara Grace is now my little clown always making people life and it has not slowed her down ONE bit!
